10 Things you can do to help Government against Corona

As we all know that Lockdown has bene finally extended till 3 May, it has been extended for 19 days again. PM Modi addressed the nation on 14 April (the last day of the 21 days lockdown) at 10 AM and announced that the lockdown is being extended till 3 may, however a leniency can be provided in areas from 21 April if there is some improvement or no new cases are observed. Later the same day railways announced that all journeys have been cancelled till 3 May and if someone had booked the ticket of date falling during this lockdown then the money will be refunded in their respective account/credit card within 3-4 days.

The government is doing whatever is in their capacity, administration and officials are also involved in this fight against corona. We the people of India can also contribute in this fight and by doing this we can help us and the nation.

Here are 10 things you can do:

1. Be in Quarantine

Be home quarantined and by doing this simple thing you are helping yourself as well as the nation. If you are corona positive, then this will make others safe from the infection and if you are not corona infected then you are easily avoiding any chances of infection by being just in quarantine.

2. Follow Social distancing

If for some unavoidable reason you are stepping out of quarantine then follow social distancing and avoid being in contact with anyone, stay at least 6 feet away, and if not possible then at least 1 meter. This will reduce the chances of spread of infection.

3. Install Arogya Setu App

By installing this app, you are helping the Government technically with some data. After installing you have to enter some details related to travel and medical history and with help of GPS and Bluetooth it tells that whether you have any chances of infection, and if someone who is corona infected comes in range(if h/she has installed the same app), then you will know that you are in proximity of the corona positive/infected/suspicious person.

4. Boost up Immunity

Immunity can be boosted through many ways and it has been observed that with strong immunity you can avoid virus caused diseases. The government has released the ways to improve the immunity, check on this link : https://www.mohfw.gov.in/pdf/ImmunityBoostingAYUSHAdvisory.pdf

Some immunity measures are:

1. Drink warm water throughout the day.

2. Daily practice of Yogasana, Pranayama and meditation for at least 30 minutes as advised by Ministry of AYUSH.

3. Spices like Haldi (Turmeric), Jeera (Cumin), Dhaniya (Coriander) and Lahsun (Garlic) are recommended in cooking.

6. Take care of Family and Elders

It is important that in such time you take care of your family and elders. Have a look on them, take care of their daily needs, talk to them and spend quality time with them. If anyone has chronic disease, then special care must be taken.

7. Respect Corona Warriors

Respect the corona warriors, medical staff, cleaning staff, police force are working in frontline to curb this disease, respect and appreciate them. Never be a barrier in their work and always cooperate.

8. Don’t Spread Fake News, Rumours

In last 30 days, we have seen so much rumours and fake news, vow to not be a part of such activities. Avoid forwarding every WhatsApp message and don’t trust everything you see and hear. Only believe in government news portals and announcements.

9. Follow Basic Hygiene

Wash your hands frequently with soap properly. Wash grocery items properly after taking it to home, those items which cannot be washed, leave it for 1-2 days in separate place. Wash milk packets. Avoid outside food. Use digital payment methods while paying at shops etc. Sanitize your mobile phone as well after coming back from outside. Just follow a basic hygiene.

10. Take care of Yourself

You are important, take care of yourself, do exercise, watch news, talk to friends, avoid being in stress and don’t feel depressed, it is happening with everyone. Pass your time positively. If with family spend quality time with them, watch Ramayana, Mahabharat on TV with them and remind yourself of your childhood, if not with family then also use technology and feel near your family.
